James Langdon
James Langdon's work is concerned with the representation and mediation of art and ideas. After training as an artist he now practices as an independent graphic designer. He has worked in close collaboration with artists such as Ruth Claxton, Matias Faldbakken, Sofia Hulten, Victor Man and Steven Shearer and for commissioners including Arnolfini, Bristol; Article Press, Birmingham; Book Works, London; Ikon Gallery, Birmingham; Milton Keynes Gallery; The New Art Gallery, Walsall and Sternberg Press, Berlin.
He has also collaborated with organisations such as Colony and Springhill Institute to document independent artist-led activity in Birmingham. He is a director at Eastside Projects, Birmingham and as a writer contributes regularly to the design journal Grafik.
