This summer will see an ambitious multi-site operatic community performance by Infinite Opera unfold on the streets of Digbeth – and we need a dedicated team of volunteers to help make it happen!
Each volunteer will receive a Growing Project plant pot, hand finished in Digbeth, as a thank you for their time and energy.
Volunteer support will make the promenading production possible through vital activities such as stewarding the many venues involved, audience assistance, and wayfinding along the performance route. This will not only give invaluable experience and understanding of how large-scale public arts events happen, but you will be contributing to the delivery of something very special right at the heart of a vibrant arts community based in Digbeth – and having fun along the way!

Marking the redevelopment of the Typhoo Tea Factory, BBC new production headquarters, by Stoford Developments, Infinite Opera’s ‘Open for Business’ is an exciting new work that reflects the lived experiences of Digbeth’s residents, workers, and the industrial and cultural heritage of the area. Informed by extensive research and interviews with the community and stakeholders, the operatic performance captures Digbeth’s present and past within its rapidly changing landscape.
