November Digbeth First Friday: ‘Languages of Intimacy’ Late Night Opening & Curator’s Tour

Birmingham School of Art7 November 20254–7pm

As part of the launch of ‘Companion Culture: Four Actions for Digbeth’, join us for a curator’s tour and late night opening of ‘Languages of Intimacy’ by Bella Milroy and Khairani Barokka at Birmingham School of Art. The exhibition will open at 10am and be open as usual throughout the day and afternoon. There will be a curator’s tour at 4pm from Grand Union’s co-programme director and curator of the exhibition, Hannah Wallis. This is a chance to hear more about the development of the project and Hannah’s curatorial approach, as well as an opportunity to ask questions about the work and show.

The exhibition will then be open until 7pm, as part of the wider First Friday programme, which sees numerous events happening across the area.

'Languages of Intimacy', held at Birmingham school of Art, is the first large-scale exhibition of visual work in the UK by British artist Bella Milroy and Indonesian artist Khairani Barokka.
